Pancakes

Updated: Apr 6, 2021

As a Somerset County maple producer, we would be ashamed to not offer our flapjack recipe! Traditional pancakes make a great breakfast, lunch or dinner topped with our pure Brantview Farms Maple syrup. The pancakes are fluffy, light and oh so good with syrup, fruit, maple cream or whipped cream or all of the toppings combined!

Ingredients:

2 cups flour 1/2 tsp salt

1 T sugar

2 T butter (melted)

1 egg

1 3/4 cup milk

4 tsp baking powder

A stack of flapjacks sits on a white plate, topped with red strawberry, red raspberries and a blackberry. A silver cup of amber colored syrup sits next to the pancakes. In the background a brown jug labeled "Brantview Farms Maple" sits.

Directions:

Combine ingredients well. Using an electric skillet, heat between 250 and 300 degrees. The skillet must be hot enough for water beads to jump in the air!

Pour batter onto the skillet in small puddles or cakes, cooking each for 1-2 minutes. Flip and cook other side of pancakes until brown and cooked through. Serve pancakes hot with our pure maple syrup, fresh fruit, peanut butter, or maple cream.
